Annual luncheon explores best practices for recruiting today’s youth
Earlier this month, StratusLIVE was honored to be included among local business leaders gathered at Regent University for their annual luncheon to discuss strategies and best practices for finding, recruiting, and retaining today’s talented college graduates.
Other local businesses represented included Regent University’s corporate partners, railway corporation Norfolk Southern and power tool manufacturing leader STIHL.
The stated goal of the panel was to share ideas for what works when attracting talented, entry-level employees from among today’s young, dynamic workforce.
StratusLIVE was represented on the panel by Shannon Stell, human resources and recruiting manager.
“I was invited to participate in the panel by Melissa Nannarone, Director of Corporate Partnerships at Regent. I was one of the panelists and we shared our thoughts on recruiting millennials, Gen X and Gen Z candidates,” said Stell.
“We focused on social tools and retention. I think that any time we can share our personal expertise, it’s a direct reflection on our company. Hopefully, luncheon attendees who weren’t previously aware of StratusLIVE will now see how involved we are and want to seriously consider us as a potential career choice.”
