We are seeking a Dev Ops Engineer that will be involved in the efforts associated with the infrastructure management, deployment automation, and scalability requirements of the StratusLIVE platform. The ideal candidate should be someone who is a self-starter with a passion for technology. The candidate must have a background in scaling Windows\\Linux based environments along with the ability to help automate and monitor these systems. This individual will work closely with the development team and help lead the delivery of both on-premise and cloud-based solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design, engineer, and maintain automation scripts, tools, and processes for solution delivery.
  • Assist in the planning, building, and maintenance of the testing and production environments.
  • Monitor critical performance metrics and formulate plans to improve.
  • Scale cloud-based systems to support multi-tenant delivery.
  • Maintain, monitor, and secure software development, testing, and production environments
  • Manage and administer CI and CD tools with the engineering team
  • Quickly scale up or down cloud-based environments based on usage and implement infrastructure as code-based solutions
  • Provide technical guidance and educate team on development and operations best practices
  • Ability to multitask and to prioritize workload under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with scalable, distributed enterprise Windows and Linux based server applications such as Windows Server 2012-2016, IIS, DNS, SQL Server 2014-2017+, RabbitMQ, Apache Kafka
  • Ability to automate the deployment and delivery of software through PowerShell, MSBuild, Cake Scripts, Batch Files, or other preferred tools.
  • Experience scaling cloud-based systems a plus (Virtualization, Containers, Load Balancing, Clustering, Disaster Recovery, )
  • Docker and Kubernetes experience a plus
  • Experience working with open source and cloud-native solutions
  • Experience researching bottlenecks, production monitoring, and working with diagnostic tools for IIS, SQL Server, and Windows Servers.
  • Familiar with continuous delivery tools, source control, and infrastructure as code.
  • Familiar with performance monitoring and instrumentation tools to uncover performance issues and bottlenecks
  • Familiarity with cloud providers like AWS, Azure, etc.
  • A background in software development or experience in a software company is a plus.
  • Familiarity with .Net Core, JavaScript, and SQL a plus
