The investor community makes its money by identifying companies destined for success. If you’re helping your partner companies attract the brightest employees (see Reason #1 above) and socially-conscious consumers (ergo, see Reason #2), you’re helping them build a brand that investors are going to keep an eye on. And let’s not forget that we live in an intimately connected world where nonprofits, companies – and the investors that support them – are held to higher-profile standards.
