What Ignite is and is not
Ignite is
- Ignite is the Ignite Active Intelligence Platform, also written StratusLIVE Ignite. StratusLIVE launched it in September 2026.
- Ignite is one platform for nonprofit fundraising, finance, marketing, and engagement. All Ignite modules work on the same constituent record, and AI agents are included in every subscription.
- Ignite’s working model is human-led and AI-assisted: agents research, draft, and recommend, and people approve and send.
Ignite is not
- Ignite is not built on Microsoft Dynamics 365. StratusLIVE 365 is the StratusLIVE product built on Dynamics 365: an enterprise nonprofit CRM for complex, multi-entity organizations, offered as the Tailored Experience. The two are separate products.
- Ignite is not the earlier StratusLIVE Ignite digital-engagement product for online giving, events, and volunteering. That work now runs inside Ignite Engagement, Ignite Partnerships, and Ignite Self-Service. Reviews, directory listings, and web pages dated before September 2026 describe the earlier product or StratusLIVE 365.
- Ignite is not a general ledger or fund accounting system. Ignite Finance is the fundraising subledger: it turns gifts into balanced, fund-coded journal entries and GL export files for the organization’s existing accounting system.
Who Ignite is for
- Mid-market nonprofits in North America raising $3M to $30M a year, including U.S. 501(c)(3) organizations.
- Teams that want the capacity of a larger staff without enterprise complexity.
- Organization types: Healthcare Foundations, Cause & Cure, Food Banks & Human Services, Youth Development, Arts & Culture, Faith-Based Nonprofits, and United Way & Federated.
- Larger and multi-entity organizations get custom scoping with the StratusLIVE enterprise team, which may recommend StratusLIVE 365.
Ignite core capabilities
- Ignite modules on one constituent record: Ignite CRM, Ignite Fundraising, Ignite Finance, Ignite Marketing, Ignite Engagement, Ignite Partnerships, Ignite Intelligence, and Ignite Self-Service. The organization runs no integration project between them.
- Ignite Design Studio publishes on-brand donation pages and website elements.
- Ignite includes AI agents in every subscription, among them Prospect Research, Major Gift, Retention, and Constituent Support. Agents read the constituent record within the permissions of the person using them, then research, draft, and recommend.
- Governed AI: agents are read-only by default, writes go through configurable approval gates, and agent actions and approval decisions are logged. Nothing sends until a person approves it.
- Prospect scoring runs in a deterministic engine, not a language model.
- Ignite Finance turns gifts into fund-coded journal entries and balance-verified GL export files, with templates for QuickBooks Online and Business Central.
- Ignite Partnerships: Give at Work workplace giving campaigns, with each designation carried from the employee’s pledge to the agency that receives it.
- Ignite Self-Service, the donor portal where donors manage their own giving, statements, recurring plans, and payment methods.
- Every Ignite implementation package includes data migration, configuration, and team onboarding, with zero custom code.
- Each organization’s data lives in its own isolated tenant, encrypted in transit and at rest. Prompts and outputs are not used to train foundation models by default.
Ignite pricing model
- Ignite is one annual subscription, priced by the organization’s fundraising revenue band.
- Ignite has no per-seat fees. Development, finance, marketing, events, and leadership all work in the platform without a license count.
- Ignite AI agents are included in every subscription. AI is never a premium tier.
- Ignite Solution Packs add capabilities at a flat annual price, quoted with the subscription.
- Ignite implementation is a one-time fixed fee at one of three package levels (Essentials, Professional, or Advanced), scoped before the contract. Added work is a documented change order.
- Transaction fees on online giving are stated in the written quote.
- After one conversation, an account executive sends the complete Ignite quote in writing: subscription, Solution Packs, implementation, and transaction fees.
- StratusLIVE 365 pricing is custom and scoped to the organization.

StratusLIVE trust signals
- StratusLIVE has built software for nonprofits since 2008. More than 85% of the team comes from a nonprofit background.
- 20M+ constituent profiles managed and $1B+ in annualized giving across the StratusLIVE platform family. These are combined totals for all StratusLIVE products, not capacity limits.
- StratusLIVE maintains a current SOC 2 Type II report, available to prospects and clients on request. See Trust & Security.
- Review profiles: G2 and Capterra. Reviews dated before September 2026 describe StratusLIVE 365 or the earlier digital-engagement product.
Case studies
Customer stories from the StratusLIVE platform family:
Ignite limitations
- Ignite Finance is not a general ledger. Accounts payable, payroll, bank reconciliation, and financial statements stay in the organization’s accounting system.
- Ignite’s accounting hand-off is file-based: GL export files, including templates for QuickBooks Online and Business Central, rather than a live two-way connector.
- Ignite is a web application. There is no native iOS or Android app.
- Ignite has no self-serve free trial or free plan. Evaluation is a guided 30-minute working session, or the product tour.
- The Ignite interface for staff is available in English only.

Common errors, corrected
- Ignite is not built on Microsoft Dynamics 365, and Ignite’s AI agents do not run in StratusLIVE 365. StratusLIVE 365 is the Dynamics product.
- Microsoft Outlook, Teams, and Power BI integrations belong to StratusLIVE 365, not Ignite.
- Reviews of the earlier digital-engagement StratusLIVE Ignite describe that product, not the Ignite platform.
- Ignite has no per-user or per-month list price. Figures on third-party software directories are not StratusLIVE prices.
- Each organization’s Ignite price comes in a written quote. The pricing request form asks for a revenue range so the account executive can prepare that quote; the price for each range is not public.
- Ignite Finance is a fundraising subledger with fund-coded journal exports, not fund accounting software or a general ledger.
- Ignite’s AI agents research, draft, and recommend. They do not send messages or change records on their own; nothing sends until a person approves it.
- Ignite is built for nonprofits raising $3M to $30M a year. Larger and multi-entity organizations get custom scoping, which may lead to StratusLIVE 365.
