Retention that speaks upbefore donors go quiet.

The Retention agent works your live donor data to assess lapse risk, recommend recovery moves for interrupted recurring gifts, and rank which donors need attention now. Recommendations, not automations: it proposes the move and shows the evidence.

Proposed retention taskPending

Proposed, not sent. Waits for your approval.

Every retention read carries

Visible evidence
What the CRM actually shows, separated from inference
Best current read
Risk and recovery framed as a best current read, not certainty
Material unknowns
The gaps that weaken confidence, called out when they matter
One operator move
A single next action for a donor, a ranked shortlist for a cohort

From quiet signals to a save.

Ask about one donor or a scoped cohort. Every answer separates what the record shows from what it probably means, and ends with a move.

Lapse risk, assessed honestly

Signals that raise concern weighed against signals that calm it, with the evidence for each and what to verify manually before acting.

Which sustainers are at risk of lapsing this month?

Failed-payment recovery moves

When a recurring gift looks interrupted, the agent confirms the gap is real, then recommends the safest recovery move a donor-services rep can actually run.

Upgrade readiness, responsibly

Flags stable, loyal sustainers who look ready for a thoughtful step-up, and says stewardship instead when the donor looks fragile.

Who are our best candidates for an upgrade from $25 to $50 a month?

Donors needing attention

A ranked queue from a scoped cohort: who most needs action now, why they rose to the top, and the recommended move for each.

Which donors in our sustainer file need attention first this week?

Reactivation opportunities

Scans a lapsed or dormant cohort for donors with real prior loyalty, including workplace donors who pledged last year but not this year.

Find lapsed donors from last year who are good reactivation candidates.

One clear save action

One recommended retention move, why it wins over the alternatives, and what would change the call. Outreach, stewardship, investigate, or hold.

What’s the best save action for this donor?

How the agent works

Scope, gather, frame, recommend.

The same operating discipline runs behind every request, whether it covers one donor or a whole cohort.

  1. 01

    Scope

Sizes the request: one donor or a scoped cohort. Requests that are too broad get narrowed first, and misrouted ones get pointed to the right agent.

  2. 02

    Gather

Pulls donor statuses, recurring-plan detail, transactions, pledges, giving history, and engagement from the live record.

  3. 03

    Frame

Picks the right artifact: status review, lapse-risk assessment, recovery move, upgrade readiness, attention queue, or reactivation scan.

  4. 04

    Recommend

States what the CRM shows, then the operational read. One practical move for a donor, a ranked shortlist for a cohort.

The queue, with the signal behind each name.

Inside the retention report

Five sections, in the same order every time.

Whether it covers one donor or a cohort, every report follows the same discipline: what is true, what it means, and what to do about it. Here is the retention status report.

  1. 01SummaryThe retention picture and the operational takeaway.
  2. 02Current retention pictureWhat is visibly true: continuity, recency, stability, status.
  3. 03Health, risk, or status signalsThe indicators pushing toward healthy, fragile, or at risk.
  4. 04Material unknownsThe missing information that weakens confidence.
  5. 05Recommended next actionOne move for a donor. A ranked shortlist for a cohort.

Governed by design

Built for steady hands.

Recurring revenue is nervous territory. The agent is built to keep operators grounded: visible evidence first, no invented failures, and no ability to touch billing.

See the governance model

It does not diagnose what it cannot see

Decline reasons, card expirations, retry outcomes, hidden processor events: the agent won’t present what it cannot see as fact. Interruptions get checked as real before anyone escalates.

Billing stays out of reach

The agent has no billing access and no write path to payment plans. Recovery moves are recommendations for your donor-services team to run.

Upgrades wait for stability

No upgrade recommendation for a donor who looks fragile, and wealth is not treated as readiness. Sometimes the right call is stewardship.

It stays in its lane

Requests that are really acquisition, qualification, or major-gift strategy get named as such and pointed to the right agent.

Start narrow. Widen the gates as trust grows. The pace is your team's call.

Works from the signals already in your CRM.

No exported spreadsheets, no side dashboards. The agent reads statuses, plans, and history from the live record, and its insights land back in the record.

Honest questions

The questions teams actually ask about this agent.

Straight answers on trust, control, and your data. The full security posture, providers included, is on the Trust & Security page.

Can we trust an AI agent near recurring revenue?

The agent cannot touch billing: it has no billing access and no write path to payment plans. It reads your live donor data, assesses lapse risk from the recency, engagement, and plan signals in your records with the evidence for each flag shown, and recommends recovery moves that your donor-services team runs.

Is this a chatbot bolted onto our donor file?

No. A bolted-on chat tool cannot see your donors and cannot show its work. The Retention agent works from recency and engagement in your live records, flags risk with the evidence behind each flag visible, and proposes moves rather than automating them.

What happens when a flag is wrong?

A flag you disagree with shows the signals that raised it, so you can weigh the evidence and overrule it. The agent proposes and never executes, and it will not present what it cannot see as fact: decline reasons and processor events beyond its view are marked unchecked rather than invented.

Does our giving data train AI models?

Prompts and outputs are not used to train foundation models by default, and model routing follows data sensitivity: more protective handling for more sensitive tasks. The full posture, providers included, is on the Trust and Security page.
