About StratusLIVE

Who we are, how long we have done this, and who we do it for.

What is StratusLIVE?

StratusLIVE is a nonprofit software company founded in 2008 and headquartered in Chesapeake, Virginia. It builds two products: the Ignite Active Intelligence Platform, which unifies fundraising, finance, marketing, and engagement on one constituent record with AI agents included, and StratusLIVE 365 CRM for enterprise teams. Most of the team comes from nonprofit work.

About StratusLIVE

How long has StratusLIVE been in business?

StratusLIVE has built technology for nonprofits since 2008, working across donor management, federated campaigns, and workplace giving in the eighteen years before Ignite launched. The company is founder-led and headquartered in Chesapeake, Virginia, and most of its team comes from nonprofit work.

Customer stories

What is the difference between Ignite and StratusLIVE 365?

Ignite is the Active Intelligence Platform: the flagship product for fundraising, finance, and engagement with AI agents in every subscription. StratusLIVE 365 CRM is the enterprise CRM built on Microsoft Dynamics 365, offered as the Tailored Experience for large and complex organizations.

The platform

Ignite and its modules

What the platform is, what it includes, and how teams adopt it.

What is the Ignite Active Intelligence Platform?

Ignite is one platform for nonprofit fundraising, finance, marketing, and engagement: eight modules that share a single constituent record, with AI agents working alongside your team in every subscription. Every gift, email, event, and workplace pledge lands on the same profile, so nobody reconciles systems.

Platform overview

What modules does Ignite include?

Eight: CRM, Fundraising, Finance, Marketing, Engagement, Partnerships, Intelligence, and Self-Service (the donor portal). They are built on one constituent record rather than integrated after the fact, so data moves between them without syncing or exports.

Explore the modules

Can we start small and add capabilities later?

Yes. Every subscription starts with the Core Platform, and you add Solution Packs only for the capabilities your work requires, each a flat annual price quoted with your subscription. Whatever you start with runs on the full constituent record, so adding a pack later is a pricing change, not a data migration.

Packs and pricing

Does StratusLIVE support workplace giving and federated campaigns?

Yes. Workplace giving, agency networks, and federated campaign management are in production today and carry nearly two decades of StratusLIVE history with United Ways and federated organizations. Donors pledge through their employer, and designations route to agency partners.

United Way & Federated

Is there a self-service portal for donors?

Yes. Ignite Self-Service is the module where donors manage their own giving, so routine changes stop arriving as phone calls to your office. It is one of the eight modules and runs on the same constituent record as everything else.

Ignite Self-Service

AI and agents

How the AI works

What the agents do, what they are never allowed to do, and what it costs.

How does StratusLIVE use AI?

Ignite includes specialist AI agents for work like prospect research, major gift cultivation, donor retention, and constituent support. Agents read the full constituent record, then draft, research, and recommend. Your team reviews and approves anything that matters. StratusLIVE calls this human-led, AI-assisted.

Meet the agents

Can the AI send emails or change our records on its own?

Agents draft; people send. Agents are read-only by default, and writes use the approval gates your team configures. Every action lands in an audit trail showing what was proposed, who approved it, and what changed.

The governance model

What answers routine donor questions?

The Constituent Support agent. It reads the donor’s record, drafts a reply to routine requests (a receipt copy, a recurring-gift change, an event detail), and waits for your team to approve the send. Routine service stops eating staff hours, and the donor never gets an automated brush-off.

Meet the Constituent Support agent

Do we pay extra for AI features?

No. Agents are included in every subscription and are never gated by pricing tier. Each subscription carries an annual pool of AI capacity with usage alerts, an overage cap you set, and admin budget controls, so the finance office is never surprised.

Pricing details

Does StratusLIVE train AI models on our donor data?

No. Customer data is never used to train public AI models. Each task routes to a model matched to its data sensitivity, with more protective handling for more sensitive data. Agent outputs cite the records they drew from, so answers are checkable.

Pricing

What it costs

The model in brief. The pricing page explains it in full, and your complete quote arrives in writing on request.

How much does Ignite cost?

Ignite is one predictable annual subscription set by your organization’s annual fundraising revenue band, plus flat Solution Pack pricing for the capabilities you add, quoted with your subscription. There are no per-seat fees, so development, finance, marketing, events, and leadership all work in the platform without a license count. Request pricing and an account executive emails your complete quote in writing.

How pricing works

Are there hidden fees or per-user charges?

No per-seat fees, and AI is never a premium tier. Transaction fees on online giving are stated in your written quote rather than discovered on an invoice, gifts your team records carry no platform fee, and implementation is a one-time fixed fee scoped before you sign.

How the fees work

Is StratusLIVE a fit for the largest organizations?

Yes, through the Tailored Experience. The largest organizations, and those with very large constituent files, multi-entity structures, or a federated network, get custom scoping, custom pricing, and an implementation plan built around their structure.

How the Tailored Experience works

Data and security

Your data, protected and portable

Migration, ownership, security, and how Ignite meets your accounting system.

Can StratusLIVE migrate our data from Raiser’s Edge or Salesforce?

Yes. Data migration is part of every implementation package. Imports map and validate every record before anything writes to your database, and a batch can be rolled back if something lands wrong. Migrations from Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge are common enough to have their own page.

Leaving Raiser’s Edge

Is StratusLIVE secure?

Your data lives in its own tenant, isolated from every other organization on the platform, and is encrypted in transit and at rest. Payments process natively through Stripe and PayPal. Anything AI would write to your records waits for human approval.

Trust & Security in full

Who owns our data?

You do. Your donor data is yours: it lives in its own isolated tenant, it is never used to train public AI models, and duplicate merges and imports are auditable and reversible, so the record stays accurate as well as yours.

How data is protected

Does Ignite work with QuickBooks or our accounting system?

Yes. Ignite Finance turns gift activity into journal entries and a balance-verified general ledger extract, then exports a file QuickBooks, Business Central, or any GL imports. Development and accounting share one record instead of reconciling two systems at month end.

Getting started

From first look to go-live

What evaluation and implementation look like.

How do we see a demo?

Book a working session: 30 minutes, a live demo on real data, no deck. You bring the questions, and your IT or finance reviewer is welcome on the call. The demo is guided rather than self-serve, so it can follow what your organization needs to see.

Book a working session

What does implementation involve?

Implementation is a fixed-fee package at one of three levels: Essentials, Professional, or Advanced. Each covers data migration, configuration, and team onboarding, with role-based training at Professional and above. Scope is assessed before contract, so added work is a documented change order, never a surprise. Our team guides the work, and it requires zero custom code.

Implementation packages

Does StratusLIVE provide training and support?

Yes. Training is built into every implementation package, from team onboarding at Essentials to role-based training at Professional and above. Ongoing support comes from the StratusLIVE team. Ask in your working session how support is structured for an organization like yours.
